These GOAT Recruiter Terms govern your use of the GOAT Recruiter app and web portal (the "app"). When we speak of "we", "us", and "our", we mean Universal Scheduling. These terms are incorporated by reference into Universal Scheduling's Terms of Service; where the two differ with respect to the app, these terms control. By tapping "I Agree", you accept these terms.

Effective date
July 14, 2026.

GOAT Recruiter is a free add-on offered to Universal Scheduling's tournament-scheduling clients. It is provided to recruiters and to the college programs they belong to. You may be using the app even though your program is not the party that engaged Universal for tournament scheduling; these terms set out the relationship between you (the recruiter) and Universal for your use of the app.

Age and Authority
You hereby represent that you are at least 18 years of age and agree to these terms and conditions with Universal in your individual capacity as a recruiter.

GOAT Recruiter (recruiting app)
GOAT Recruiter is a scheduling and note-taking app for college recruiters, offered to our scheduling clients at no additional charge. Access is provided to recruiters and to the college programs they belong to. Recruiters use the app to build their own schedule around the athletes they are already in touch with, and to collect the team information needed to schedule those visits efficiently. Notes and ratings a recruiter enters are visible only to the recruiter and other recruiters at their program. Athlete information is supplied by the recruiters or the athletes themselves, and is not shared with the tournament. Athletes may opt out of recruiting emails from recruiters associated with any individual program, or from the platform entirely. Universal does not participate in, and makes no representation about, any recruiting decision or outcome. Recruiters remain solely responsible for complying with all rules that govern their recruiting activity - including any NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, or other governing-body or scholastic rules on the permissibility, frequency, and timing of contact with athletes and their families. GOAT Recruiter is a scheduling and note-taking aid and does not monitor, verify, or enforce those rules; Universal is not responsible for a recruiter's compliance with them. The app is provided "as is", and offline capture and synchronization are provided on a best-efforts basis.

Data and privacy
The information we collect through the app and how we handle it are described in our Privacy Policy. Notes and ratings you enter are visible only to you and other recruiters at your program. Athlete information is supplied by recruiters or athletes and is not shared with the tournament.

Liability
To the extent allowed by applicable law, Universal is liable only for its breaches of these terms. Universal is not liable for:
  • Loss of profits, revenues, business opportunities, goodwill, or anticipated savings
  • Indirect or consequential losses
  • Punitive damages
Universal's total liability arising out of or relating to these terms is limited to the fees paid by you to use our service in the 12 months before the dispute. New Jersey law will govern all disputes related to or arising out of these terms.

Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performance under this contract if such failure or delay is due to events beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, civil unrest, governmental actions, or any other force majeure event. In the event of a force majeure event that prevents either party from fulfilling its obligations under this agreement, the affected party shall promptly notify the other party in writing and provide details of the force majeure event's impact on its performance. During the force majeure event, the affected party's obligations under this contract shall be suspended for the duration of the force majeure event, and the timeframe for performance shall be extended for a period equal to the duration of the force majeure event. If the force majeure event continues for an extended period, either party may terminate this contract upon written notice to the other party, without incurring any liability or penalty. The party invoking force majeure shall use all reasonable efforts to mitigate the effects of the force majeure event and resume its performance under this contract as soon as practicable after the force majeure event has ceased.

About these terms
These terms describe the relationship between you and Universal. They don't create any legal rights for other people or organizations, even if others benefit from that relationship under these terms. If any particular term in this agreement is not valid or enforceable, that will not affect any other terms.
